Collaboration is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Very often in cases relating to Family Law, clients do not feel that Court Action is the appropriate way of resolving the disputes in contention.
Collaboration offers separating couples a method to conclude the formalities of their separation without a court battle and with minimal conflict. The process involved in Collaboration still maintains both parties have their own legal representation, however the negotiation process involves a number of joint meetings whereby the concerns of both parties are discussed around a table. A successful Collaboration would conclude by a formal Minute of Agreement being entered between parties and a Divorce being granted.
The Collaborative Process can address matters relating to children, financial aspects of a separation and Divorce.
